Crysis 2 news

After huge success of Crysis on PC, Crytek is getting ready to introduce its sequel- Crysis 2 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The game was announced by EA Games in June.

The latest news about Crysis 2 is that the game is not coming in 2009, as confirmed by Crytek. An official announcement in the Crymod forum by Crytek left the players disappointed. Community manager “Cry-McGinge” broke the news on Crymod forum. The release date was never announced before. But, industry sources believed that game could be rolled out in late-2009 or early-2010. Now that Crytek themselves have confirmed about it, the game gets really interesting with many big names coming up in 2010.

Crysis 2 will be a tough competitor for Mafia II, BioShock 2 and other games previously postponed to 2010 due to various reasons. With a busy Christmas season and poor holiday season, many developers were not interested in taking big risk with their best titles. Crytek could have done the same without announcing it.

Recognized as the Game of the Year (2007), Crysis was something bigger than super-hit. Gamers are expecting Crysis 2 to be ‘bigger and better’. The unfinished story of Crysis will be completed in Crysis 2, as gamers believe. Several previews and handful of snapshots are available on the internet. Known for jaw-dropping graphics and tremendous sound effects, Crysis 2 will be the game to look for in 2010. Many forum users have already announced that their first choice in 2010 will be Crysis 2.
